Switching Out of s mode is an easy task that won't take time in achieving the main goal!
But first, you will need internet to make it work easier and perfect In windows 10 s mode
Make sure you have an Internet Connection in order to switch out of S Mode.
Check whether you are on s mode Or Not
Right-click on This Pc on your desktop and go to properties
Under Device Specification, it will show you that windows 10 home S mode.
OR
Click on the start button and go to the settings
Select Update and Security
Click On Activation
Under windows edition,
it will indicate that windows 10 home s mode
That is how to check if you are on "S Mode" now let's see what happens when you are in S mode?
What Happens To When in S Mode
In windows s mode, it only runs verified apps from the windows store,
In windows 10 s mode it is limited to lock down Windows 10 operating system for security reasons.
In s mode, you can only install apps only from the Microsoft store and browse only on the web browser which is Microsoft edge,
if you buy a machine that is in s mode, anytime you format or install a new operating system it will only runs in s mode irrespective of any type of windows that you installed, it will always run on s mode.
Let's see how to remove you from S mode
How Do You Switch Out S Mode
Now to switch out from s mode it will not cost you a penny(free) to remove it, and more to the point it is a one-time decision once you've taken the pc out of S mode you can never put it back to S mode again.
To start with close all apps
- GO to Computer Settings
- Select Update and Security
- On your left side Click On Activation
- Under Activation Page
- Switch to windows 10 Home
- Click on the go to play store
In the store you have to log in with your microsoft account and search "switch mode"
In the switch mode, a message will pop up telling you THAT
windows 10 gives you the freedom to choose the mode of windows that fits the way you work and live. If performance, security, and peace of mind are your top priorities stick with windows 10 in s mode.
Every app you install from Microsoft store has been verified by Microsoft.
Below this message, there is an option "Get"
Now click on "get"
For some seconds it will tell you that running windows 10 s mode switch and you're all set!
And that is how to switch out of the windows 10 s mode
Go back to your desktop
On the desktop Right-click on This Pc
a pop-up menu appears select properties
On the properties page
Under Device Specification windows 10 home will be shown indicating that we are no more "S" mode.
After following all the procedures you can now install third-party apps
Chrome Browser
Mozilla firefox
Vlc player
IDM etc.
